A record keeper. Not a payment service.

1. The most important part

Chill Bill is a tool for recording shared expenses. Chill Bill never holds your money, does not move money, and is not a payment service provider. Transfers between you and your friends happen through your own banks or e-wallets, outside Chill Bill.

This means Chill Bill does not guarantee that anyone actually pays what they owe to someone else. All we do is record, calculate and show the figures to everyone in that group.

2. With an account, or without

You can start without an account. One group without an account is kept on your phone and never touches our server. To invite friends, sync between phones or create a second group, you need to sign in with a Google account.

If someone else invites you by link, you need no account at all.

Chill Bill is for people aged 17 and over. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure, because that account is what can bring your groups onto a new phone.

3. Pricing

No account: free, one group, on that phone only.
Free account: free, up to three active groups that you created yourself. Groups owned by someone else that you joined, and groups marked as finished, do not count.
Plus: Rp 19.000 for 30 days, or Rp 149.000 for 365 days. Unlimited groups, plus Wrap and CSV export.

Plus is paid once by QRIS. There is no automatic renewal. We do not store card data, and nobody bills you again unless you buy the next period yourself.

When a Plus period ends, nothing is locked. Every existing group stays open, can still be written to, and can still be exported. The only thing that stops is creating new groups beyond the free allowance.

Never limited, at any tier: the number of people in a group, how many receipts are read, transaction history, invitations, sharing to WhatsApp, and exporting your own data.

Refunds

If your payment went through but Plus is not active, email us with the order number and we will fix it or refund it in full. Otherwise, because Plus is bought per period and can be tried free first, a purchase that is already active is not refunded, unless applicable law requires it.

4. Your data

The records you and your group create belong to you. We store them to run this service. You can download all of it at any time, free, through Profile, then Data & backup. The details are in the Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your data, do not use it for advertising, and do not build a spending profile from your group records.

5. Group records cannot be deleted quietly

The activity record in Chill Bill only ever grows. Deleting an expense means recording its deletion, and that stays visible in the transaction history. That is why everyone in the group can trust the figures.

What you write in a group can be seen by all members of that group, including the name you use, the expenses you record, and the questions you raise on a transaction.

6. Receipt reading

Snap uses a language model to copy figures from a receipt photo. The model can misread. So Chill Bill never saves the result automatically: you always see the figures first, can change them, and only then save.

The money arithmetic itself is not done by the model. Code does the splitting, the rounding and the checking of totals, and you can check the result yourself in the transaction history.

7. What is not allowed

Using Chill Bill for unlawful activity, including money laundering or fraud.
Uploading receipts or records that belong to someone else without the right to.
Trying to break into, overload or pry into other people's systems.
Reselling access to Chill Bill.

We may stop access for an account that breaches this section. If that happens, you can still download your data.

8. Availability and limits of liability

Chill Bill is run as well as we can manage, but with no uptime guarantee. The service may stop temporarily for maintenance. Because your records are stored on your phone first, the app keeps working when our server cannot be reached.

To the extent the law allows, our liability for losses arising from the use of Chill Bill is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months. For free users, that amount is zero. We are not responsible for money disputes between you and your friends; we only keep the record.

9. Closing your account

You can stop at any time, without asking anyone's permission. In the app: Profile, then Delete account. Deletion takes effect at once. If you can no longer sign in, email the address below from your account's email address, and we will complete it within 30 days. Download your data first if you want to keep it, in Profile then Data & backup. Full details are on Delete Account.

10. Changes and governing law

If these terms change, the date above changes with them, and significant changes will be announced in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
